The fact he was injured was revealed, but the full extent of his injuries were not. Sullivan Stapleton was injured while filming back in February 2014. The reason for that large delay has now been explained, and it was due to an injury suffered by a member of the cast on-set. Strike Back aired its fourth season late in 2015, but there was a huge delay between the end of season three and the return of the series to Cinemax.
